Did you know there are American hotels and there are non-American hotels? Does the location of the corporate headquarters bother you? Should it? Only if you want your neighbors and your children to have a job.

Let's review the top luxury hotels and see where their headquarters and where the majority of their staffing is located.

The star classification system is a common one for rating hotels. Essentially, the higher the star rating, the higher level of services and care and greater luxury and typically price tag too.

Wikipedia shares with us that there is no single world hotel international rating. There is a movement to standardize by the World Hotel Rating (WHR) project. WHR goal is to standardize the classification worldwide and develop labels to promote hotels distinguished by specific features.

For our purposes, we have simply two categories - 5 star - everything is American or US based or 4 star - the majority is US based. Headquarters and corporate charter are key to the rating of celebrate made in USA. Returning the profits, employing Americans is the stated goal of the two ratings. It is a celebration indicating the corporate commitment to the American people.

A great brand, a great company, a great business philosophy.  I love this company and admire the founder and CEO but the fact remains that this hotel is headquartered in Canada.

The dollars we spend as Americans are in addition to our voting rights. Women, please remember, we have had the right to vote here in American only since 1920! We have arrived but we ALL must do our due diligence and get our neighbors and our children back to work. Let's start building together by learning who owns what here in American and support those corporations that are headquartered here in the United States. We have allot to choose from but we must build our knowledge base. Take the time to learn. Spend our dollars and our vote wisely, return American jobs and dollars to the United States.
