Daughter yearns to kiss dead mom
At 10 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2011, Rosangela Celestrino yearned to kiss her dead mom. So she went to the hospital where she was instructed to identify her dead mother. Refrigerated drawers with cadavers were drawn out, including Celestrino’s mother.
Daughter finds mom alive
Having chosen the right drawer where her mother was, Celestrino screamed with mixed joy and amazement to find her dead mom still alive and breathing. She shouted “My mom is alive!” Everyone, doctors and hospital staff at hearing distance looked at her like a crazy person.
Mom was indeed breathing and returned to ICU.
Indeed, her discovery was gospel truth. Celestrino de Assis, 60, her mother was breathing and promptly returned to the Intensive Care Unit, intubated once more and put on a respirator, said hospital director Manoel Moreira Filho.
Doctor and nurse were dismissed
From ABC News: At 7:20 p.m. that same day Friday, a nurse summoned the on-call doctor when she saw that the patient was not showing any sign of life. The doctor did some tests and pronounced her dead. Then and there Celestrino’s mom was wheeled to a refrigerated drawer in the morgue where she had lain for 2 solid hours before her daughter discovered her still alive.
This weird phenomenon happened in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sadly, the doctor and the nurse were fired out. Warning to hospital staff- Be careful!
