Angelina National Forest

Has an area of 154,916 acres in Angelina, Jasper, Nacogdoches and San Augustine Counties. It's ranger office is located in Lufkin which is the heart of East Texas Piney Woods region and a home of vast lumber and wood products industries.

In Angelina National Forest you'll enjoy the beautiful view and it has lots of outdoor activities attraction;

Bouton Lake where visitors can enjoy picnicking, camping, kayaking, hiking without fee.

Boykin Springs - where the place has designated fee for picnicking, camping, swimming, canoeing, shelters, and hiking trails. For comfort they provide sanitary facilities and drinking water.

Caney Creek - where the place has designated fee for picnicking, camping, swimming,skiing, boating, interpretative trails and shelters. There are sanitary facilities, concessionaires and drinking water available in the area.

Harvey Creek - where the place has designated fee for picnicking, camping,skiing, boating and shelters. They provide sanitary facilities and drinking water in the area.

Sandy Creek - where the place has designated fee for picnicking, camping, swimming, skiing, boating and shelters. It also have sanitary facilities and drinking water.

Sawmill Hiking Trail- is a 5.5-mile trail that connects Bouton Lake Recreation Area with Old and abandoned Aldrich, and Boykin Springs.

Turkey Hill & Upland Island Wilderness Area - located at North of Broaddus and North of Neches River respectively.
