If you're tired of crowded streets, sightseeing, and tourist traps- and you crave a nice relaxing dinner- here is an event that it outside the norm. Paszkowski cafe provides an elegant setting for an unforgettable evening that combines typical Italian food with favorite opera arias.

I recently attended a concerto and it was divine. I didn't have dinner, but the food on the table next to mine looked yummy.

History of Paszkowski Cafe:

Founded in 1846 as an alehouse by the Polish Paszkowski family, it has been hosting concerts in Florence and serving as a meeting point for some of the greatest intellectuals in Italy's history.

Palazzeschi, Cesare Battisi, Papini, Soffici, Montale and his colleagues are just a few of the literary geniuses who congregated in this elegant cafe.

In 1941 the cafe changed its style from Liberty (aka: Art Nouveau) to Art Decò. In 1991 it was proclaimed National monument. The "Cafe Concerto" at Paszkowski is internationally renowned.
