Gravel Lake in Lawton Michigan is the perfect place to go to get your fix for some good fun. This beautiful lake is surrounded by phenomenal summer homes and cottages. Among all of these homes there are plenty of fantastic lakefront rental cabins available year round. Gravel Lake is the perfect size for all of the summer fun you want. The freshwater lake is spring fed, and feeds into 2 other lakes right nearby. The bright blue water is perfect for a refreshing dip on those extremely hot summer days. Even for those that don’t want to take a swim, the fishing on this lake is fun and entertaining for everyone at every age! The lake is filled with plenty of fun catches from Bowin, Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Bluegill, to Walleye!
Throughout the summer, Gravel Lake puts together many fun activities. Many of these activities are traditions that take place every year! On Memorial Day and Labor day but most activities take place on the 4th of July weekend! Some of their most memorable ones are the paddle boat races, boat races, kid’s games and the 2 mile fun run! All of these activities get the family together and allow everyone to laugh and talk together while also meeting plenty of new friends around the lake as well! For those that are into more extreme sports, Gravel Lake is 296 acres of lake which allows for a huge area for play. Activities such as tubing, water skiing, wake boarding, and kneeboarding are very popular among residents and visitors. No matter what you chose to do, you are bound to find something extremely fun you want to do at every hour of the day!
The people of Gravel Lake are a very tight and committed community. They love their lake and take very good care of it. Residents are always updated on what is going on within all of the committees among the lake by the Newsletter. The lake is controlled by the homeowners association of the lake. These people make sure that the rules on the lake are always followed and it is always a safe, happy and enjoyable environment for everyone.
