Honda Bay Island Hopping in Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Honda Bay Island Hopping Tour in Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Exploring Puerto Princesa

Puerto Princesa City in Palawan, Philippines is one of the top picks of tourist especially by the nature lovers. Being dubbed as “The City within the Forest”, Puerto Princesa was able to preserve the nature feel of the City even if there’s a lot of construction of new building and establishments going on. Once you get there and ride in the tricycle, you will still feel like you’re in-touch with wildlife.

Puerto Princesa is also known for their popular vacation spots like the Butterfly Garden, Nagtabon Cove, Underground River (which was nominated as one of the natural wonders around the world!) and the Honda Bay Island Hopping.

Honda Bay Island Hopping Tour in Puerto Princesa, Palawan

The Honda Bay Island Hopping Tour

I was able to visit Puerto Princesa for the first time last March. Since we were all first-timers, we asked the reception person of Dangkalan Beach Resort on which tour package to take. She suggested that we avail the Honda Bay Island Hopping. Since the shuttle is leaving in an hour, we decided to sign up for it.

Saying YES for the tour is really worth it! With a group of other young  travelers, our tour guide named Gloria accompanied us as we visit the following spots: Pambato Reef, Pandan Island and Snake Island.

Enjoy Snorkeling at Pambato Reef!

PAMBATO REEF

The first stop is the Pambato Reef. It is recognized as one of the best spots for snorkeling in the Philippines. During our first trip there, I wasn’t able to snorkel because of an ear infection. I didn’t miss the chance to try it when we went there for the second time last July. Now I know why my friends admired it so much! You will see big corals, reefs, clams and different types of fishes. I never felt like this when I tried snorkeling before. It’s so amazing! There are two Pambato Reef spots there, but only one is allowed for the public.

Pandan Island: Let's Take Pictures!

PANDAN ISLAND

The next stop is Pandan Island. It is where the tourist who are taking the island hopping tours usually eat lunch and do more camwhoring stuff. I like the sand and there’s a lot of coconut trees! The people living in the island also cooks seafood and you can also order for your very own buko juice. Snorkeling is also nice here because you don’t need to go to the deep part in order to see corals and play with fishes.  The island is also well maintained too. You can’t see trash and other dirty stuff around.

Welcome to Snake Island!

SNAKE ISLAND

The last stop is the Snake Island. No, there are no big snakes or anacondas found there. It was named like that because of the shape of the island. In my own opinion, this island still needs more detailed maintenance. It is perfect for fish lovers because you can see more of it here compared to Pandan Island. You can even spot some at the shore! It is perfect for those who love to swim.

So that’s it! We’re glad that our Honda Bay Island Hopping Tour is made of win! It will be best if you try to go there soon, but don’t forget to miss this one!

When traveling around the Philippines, Puerto Princesa is definitely one of the best places to visit.

The Underground River is definitely a sight to behold. And with countless islands to choose from, natural wonders and awesome food, you will leave this place wanting more.

I really love the place, but sad to say I don't like the accomodation of some bankeros, they must treat locals (local tourist) properly same as the treatment of the foreign tourist,,, I love the place but I never enjoyed the tour...
