Featuring 3 Run 700 Treadmills, 1 crosstrainer, 1 Move, 1 Recline Bike, and 1 Concept 2 Rowing machine the guest has many choices to work out and relax. All treadmills feature built in t.v., radio, workout programs, control panel, and slots for iPods.If you prefer to strength train, the fitness center features a Kinesis Machine, bench press, Lat machine, leg curl selection, leg extension selection, adjustable bench, and free weights. And, for the recreational sports lover, there is a tennis court and swimming pool that you can access during the summer months.

Personal trainers are on higher for an hourly wage.

Hotel Spa: After a long day in the city, you can relax and be pampered in the hotel spa. With over 12 different choices of massages, you can always find one that is right for you. Open Sunday through thursday 7:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m.

 La Regence Grill Room:  With understated elegance this restuarant appeals to the meat lovers.  Famous for their lamb cutlets with Province fries or potatoe and lamb puree, travelers can enjoy a subtle taste of Middle Eastern cuisine.   Open from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. every night except Friday and Saturday.

King's Garden Restaurant:  Keeping in mind the kosher dietary laws is a high priority at the King David hotel.  At the King's Garden Restaurant, overlooking the gardens and pool, one can find dairy fish, and vegetarian style dishes. With a dish for every palette, the King's Garden Restaurant is known for their supreme dish of crispy sea bream served with sun-dried tomato and lemon sauce.  Open from 11:00 a.m. till 11:00 p.m. daily.

The Oriental Bar: For scotch lovers, there is an impressive selection of whiskey and malts, and for the wine connoisseur, a selection of wines from all over Israel.  Travelers can enjoy the intimate atmospher of the bar after a long day of touring the city.  Open from 5:00 p.m. till 11:00 p.m. daily.

Poolside Snack Bar: After an invigorating swim, one can refresh themselves with a light meal or drink from the bar by the pool.  Only open in the summers from 9:00 a.m. until closing hours.

It's a wonderful hotel, not cheap, though!

In the 1940s, my grandfather was stationed in Jerusalem for a time. My other half's great-uncle was trying to blow up British soldiers, fortunately he didn't get my grandfather (-:

I should add that history to that part of the hotel...it is fascinating

and definitely not cheap! But it is so beautiful!
