Mahabaleshwar, a city in the state of Maharashtra, India is a famous tourist place for honeymoon. It is a hill station located at around 175 miles away from Mumbai. Mahabaleshwar is the source of 'River Krishna' that flows across Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The source of river Krishna is a spout from the mouth of a statue of a cow, which is located in the ancient temple of 'Mahadev' in Mahabaleshwar. This temple is famous not only for the source of river Krishna but 4 other rivers come out from the cow's mouth and travel some distance before mering into river Krishna. The other rivers are Koyana, Venna, Gayatri and Savitri. Hence this place is an important pilgrimage site for 'Hindus' in India.
