I've heard great things about the Perinthian Islands too, though never got there (Monsoon at the time I was in Malaysia).

As a Brit, I've got to say I loved the Cameron Highlands; Like England on a sunny day; 'fraid KL and lowlands can get a bit too hot and humid for me!
