Manistee, Michigan at Sunset
These photos were taken at the Manistee, Michigan Harbor this past August 2009.
For those who have never visited a Great Lake like Lake Michigan - it's hard to believe that the shore has waves and the sand on these shores are what they call "sugar sand." It's white and so fine and soft that your feet "squeak" when you walk on it.
The clouds gave a background almost like a mountain range during the sunset. The last shot - after taking many to try to achieve what I wanted - was to get the Lighthouse light and the lights on the boat to blink on at the same time. I caught it in the final shot.
