Negril Jamaica's Best Small Beachfront Resorts : Coco La Palm
Coco La Palm Resort--Negril, Jamaica
Why is Coco La Palm the Best Choice?
Some of us have visited Negril, Jamaica or hope to in the near future. While there are some very nice all-inclusive resorts to choose from, a few of us would rather stay at a smaller, less ritualized resort for several reasons. Coco La Palm is definitely one of the best of these beautiful smaller resorts located on the brilliant white beaches of Long Bay.
This writer's had the pleasure of staying at Coco La Palm each year for well over a decade and each time I am more impressed with the way this wonderful, non-all inclusive resort is managed and staffed. Coco La Palm always seems quietly exotic with its exquisite gardens filling the open spaces with color and bouquet.
The staff, though always cheerful and helpful, do not intrude upon the visitors sense of tranquility and well being. Anything needed or asked for is quickly handled by these familiar faces I always look forward to seeing each year. The known quality of Coco La Palm's management brings visitors back again and again. What better reason for staying there?

Experience Tells At Coco La Palm
There are some very beautiful all-inclusive resorts in Negril Jamaica. Sandals. Riu, Hedonism II and others offer wonderful accommodations to those so inclined.
But for the returning visitors to this exotic locale, a smaller, less hurried and less expensive routine is often desired. Coco La Palm is the obvious choice for these types of returning “Jamericans.”
This writer has been approached on the beach many times by couples staying at one of the all-inclusive resorts wanting to know about the rates and service at Coco La Palm.
Because of the wide beach area belonging to Coco La Palm, it is only natural for them to notice the well kept resort with its picturesque villas and amenities.
Another reason is because of the beach life itself. Most all-inclusive resorts are so private one never gets to interact with the local people or to watch the never ending beach goings on, which to some of us is part of the real Jamaican experience.

Accommodations at Coco La Palms
Having stayed in several different types of rooms at Coco La Palms, I can say they are all quite comfortable, and this includes the smaller ones too. Of course, the Junior and King suites are preferred by my wife and I, but sometimes we are on a budget when we escape to the island. Being offered a great deal on the smaller rooms helps us forget the extra luxury of the larger suites and we have a great time anyway.
Each room, no matter the size, has a fridge, TV, safe, AC, and a coffee pot with a supply of Jamaica’s world famous Blue Mountain Coffee. There’s nothing better to start a day in Negril with than a cup of this wonderful strong brew. Be sure to take some home with you from the duty free shops at the Negril Square in town. This coffee costs $50 or more a lb. in the US.
Coco La Palms also offers discount rates to returning guests, another reason for the “We keep coming back for more” slogan on the resorts own T-shirts. Coco La Palms also has periodic specials which can mean great deals on rooms all during the year. For more info on prices and specials it’s easy to contact Coco La Palms online.

Amenities and Service At Coco La Palm
Just because Coco La Palm is not an all-inclusive resort doesn’t mean they do not offer many services to its guests. From rate exchange to arranging tours and drivers, they are happy to help you enjoy your stay on the isle. Ask at the front desk about which tours and sights to experience during your stay. Getting a well qualified and trusted driver in Negril is the secret to having a good time here.
But if relaxation is your motive for the trip, then do not worry. Bask on the beach or slumber in the shade of the almond trees, nobody cares. Loll beside either of the pools and watch the exotic birds flit through the trees and flowers. Ease over to the beach bar and grill to sample some really great jerked chicken. Or perhaps the nap might come after this particular pleasure. You make the call!
Monday night is the managers cocktail party with free drinks and food to enjoy while a local group of musicians furnish their own brand of entertainment. Always a fun time and a great way to meet the other guests and become acquainted with the longtime Manager William (Ferron) Vassell, and his excellent staff. All very fine and hardworking people who deserve the accolades given them by the guests.
Enjoy life at Coco La Palm
