For those of you who love gourmet food, and are looking for the perfect night out in Nerja: Look no further!
Your 1.st choice for wining and dining is called Restaurant First, and you find it on the coast road between Torrox Costa and Nerja - on the waterfront side opposite the urbanization "Punta Lara".
Restaurant First opened in August 2010, but that doesn't mean that the culinary talents behind the scene are newbies. Not by a long shot.
The two German women, Tina and Simone, who owns the restaurant, have successfully provided great food, service and value for money to gourmet lovers for more than twelve years in their previous, very well known and highly estimated, Restaurant El Quinto Pino on Torrox Costa.

The Bar
Restaurant First is split into two levels. So is the interior choice of color.
You enter the bar area from the street level. Here you can sit in comfortable black leather chairs and sofas in sophisticated surroundings and enjoy a freshly squeezed fruit juice, or a wide range of high quality cocktails and fine wines, while you browse the menu.
The multilingual staff make you feel very welcome and spoil you with deliciously tasting appetizers.
White Themed Dining Area
From the bar you go downstairs to the stunning white themed dining area. Ambiance with an elegant contemporary feel is the words that spring to mind.
The elegant and lavishly decorated dining area has the capacity to cater for 60 people simultaneously.

Ceaser salad with croutons and serrano ham and strips of fried chicken
Beef carpaccio with cheese and nuts
Homemade orange smoked salmon on roesti
Goats cheese gratinated with nuts on salad rucola

Fillet of sea bass and sea bream in its own sauce with a spinach – potato puree
Scallops on fried baguette and beluga lentils
King prawns with ajoli and bruchetta
Fillet of salmon with spinach, pasta and pepper sauce
Rose fish on root vegetable and a curry lime sauce
MEAT
Fillet of pork with homemade herb butter, fried potatoes
Strips of duck breast with fried slices of dumplings with cherries and brocoli with almonds
“Men’s” pork chop ( min. 500G ) with fried potatoes
Chicken breast fried in cornflakes with vegetable rice
Fillet of beef on a potato puree with paté of duck liver, roasted onions and a red wine balsamico sauce
Fillet steak with rasped black truffles, a chili chocolate sauce and blue potato puree
Fillet of lamb with a sauce of pee’s and mint and a potato gratin
Rump steak with green pepper butter, fried onions and potatoes
DESSERT
Cold peach soup with vanilla ice cream

The Menu
Restaurant First has created a menu which offers dishes of Spanish and international inspiration.They only use the finest and freshest ingredients.The aim is to offer great food and provide the guests with a divine taste experience.
I have enjoyed several meals at their old restaurant, and I have recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant First...and I swear I was in food-heaven!
