Lovers in Boracay

The first time I went to Boracay was last, 2010, month of April with my gay friend, Jeff. That was incredible and I really wanted to stay longer but we couldn't. Before we left to return to Manila (where we live) I promised myself that I would be coming back again.

April 2011, exactly a year after, I went back there but this time, I was with my lover. I was so excited to the fact that, I was going back to the place I'm so in love with and that of being there with my love one. That was his first time there so I planned where to bring him first, and next and next and next until we fully explored the island in 3 days.

It was so fun! Roaming in the beach front like it was a never-ending walk in the sand, going to the markets and bazarre and food halls, playing on the sand, swimming in the sea and many more. At nights, we walk from out cottage room to Station 2 and 1 where there were lots of fire dancers performing. Our room was in the Station 3. The same hotel where I and my friend Jeff stayed last year. It's a long walk but it felt good especially when you already are watching fire dancers. They're well skilled in doing that dance and I know how hot they're feeling. You know, fireballs revolving around you while you're dancing. How hot does that feel?

What other activities you can do?

Helmet Diving (aka Reef Walking)

We did it when we first went there (Me and my friend). In this activity, you're going to ride on a speed boat sending you to a larger boat which floats15 - 20 feet above the see ground. That boat has big helmets connected to the oxygen tanks and weigh 50 kilos. You are going to put those helmets on your head when you already are in the water leveling your neck. The weight will be then become 10 kilos, and as your are going deep up to the sea ground, it will become 3-5 kilos. A scuba diver will guide you there. And also, before you get into the water, you will be given a briefing on what to do below (i.e. sign languages) because there will be no way for you to speak to your guide and companies. Then, when you reach the ground, you will be given pieces of breads and all the fishes will come to, so close that you can really touch them. Maybe they're thinking you're a family. So overwhelming that you won't even want to get up. But sorry to say, maximum time allowable to play at the bottom of the sea is 30 mins. Also, the scuba diver will take pictures and videos of you and will be given to you after the payment.

SCUBA DIVING

WHO DOESN'T KNOW SCUBA DIVING?????

BANANA BOAT RIDING

Yeah, it's a "YOU'RE-RIDING-ON-A-BOAT-THAT-LOOKS-LIKE-A-BIG-BANANA". It's fun to look at. I haven't tried that one. I don't think I can handle the speed. It's too fast. It's freaking fast.

ISLAND HOPPING

Here, you're going to explore the whole island and it's neighbors. You will be riding a boat together with other fellows. It takes a couple of hours.

Hope you enjoy! Next hub, I will share to you another beautiful destination here in the Philippines. The province of Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Until next hub!
