Puerto de la Cruz
Tenerife is one of my favorite Canary Islands, and Puerto de la Cruz, one of the best towns on these islands.
We have been travelling to different places now for the last 4 years, and this is about my favorite place to holiday so far. We have been to different places in Europe, along with The Dominican Republic and Riviera Maya, but my favorite spot is on the north west side of the spanish island of Tenerife. An old town called Puerto de la Cruz is one of the most beatiful places that I have ever travelled to in my whole life. This is not like the other tourist areas on this Island, but a genuine spanish town, with of course even here som hotels, but the old town is still intact, and not ruined by the big resorts.
The climate in Puerto de la Cruz, may not invite all the people travelling to the Canary Islands looking for sun, as it can be a bit cloudy here sometimes, but the temperatures are the same as on the south side of the island. As we not go looking for the sun while on holiday, but rather seek the shadows and enjoy the silence along with a good book and some tapas.
If you go to Puerto de la Cruz, be sure to visit the small town a little north of the city called Santa Ursula. Here there are no hotels, and you can experience the real canarian lifestyle, alongside with som amazing views of the highest mountain in Spain, the Pico del Teide, with it's 3.700 meters.
Well that's my favorite spot in Tenerife, and so far one of mye favorite places in the world to go for a nice and realxing holiday.
