Royal Princess Cruise Ship 2015 - 2016

Royal Princess Introduction Video

The newest Luxury cruise from Princess Cruise Lines started its expeditions just last year and Royal Princess has already stirred up a lot of interest. It has people not only trying to gain more information on the new ship, but booking trips on it; the maiden voyage sold out about a year before the sailing date last year! Royal Princess, is the largest ship ever to bear the Princess name and is an evolved form of the other ships with improvements upon other designs and features as well as brand new ones. Examples of these improvements and additions are the SeaWalk and SeaView Bar each designed to extend over the water with glass bottoms and sides for romantic views, an adult-exclusive pool, an expanded atrium, more dining options, the largest Movies Under the Stars screen ever, and the biggest top-pool in the history of Princess Cruises .

Specialty Restaurants

In the specialty restaurants have a great combination of intimacy between you, crew, and other passengers aboard the ship, great ambience, and real vacation feel. The two specialty restaurants are the Crown Grill and Sabatini’s .

Crown Grill offers a great dining experience with an open kitchen with custom-prepared seafood and cooked-to-order steaks. There is a chophouse and piano entertainment, and for menu options there is seafood and sterling silver beef, the only beef that is cooked here.

Sabatini’s is probably the most talked about restaurant out of all those on Princess Cruise Ships partly due to its great atmosphere and bordering cocktail bar. With the feel of a real Tuscany restaurant and menu that will satisfy even the most critical palates, Sabatini’s always has passengers leaving quite satiated.

Horizon Court and The Pastry Shop

The Horizon Court aboard Royal Princess epitomizes how Princess Cruises has used this ship to improve upon designs of previous ships. While the Horizon Court is, indeed, aboard other Princess ships, the one on Royal Princess is twice the size of those on other ships and has a new buffet style that is designed to shorten if not eradicate the wait in lines to get food altogether. This new design consists of separate areas for different food types and origins such as separate sections for Latin foods, Italian food, Asian food, and even a completely separate shop for desserts within the court instead of a counter dedicated to it. This Pastry Shop has been set up to provide many different types of pastries and sweets to passengers. Other features include a viewing section and an area for demonstration of chefs making and decorating the many different sweets for the Pastry Shop .

Other dining options offered are Alfredo’s Pizzeria , Ocean Terrace , Gelateria , International Café , and Vines .

Mini-Suite

Mini-Suites aboard the ship are much larger than the normal balcony staterooms with all of the same amenities plus a complimentary glass of champagne, seating area, two flat screen TVs, marble top furniture, a large closet, a sofa bed, and much more.

Deluxe Balcony

The Deluxe Balcony is a newer version of the already known balcony stateroom with the amenities of a balcony stateroom and additionally more room to relax, a sofa bed, and upgraded amenities in the bathroom.

Balcony

Balcony Staterooms aboard Royal Princess offer space and beauty of an ocean-viewing balcony along with accompanying patio furniture and inside amenities like spacious closets, a desk, and all amenities of Interior Staterooms.

Interior

SeaView Bar and SeaWalk

Magnificent features of the new Royal Princess that will probably be the trademark of the ship are the public areas protruding from both port and starboard sides of the ship. These protruding areas have glass bottoms and sides for viewing of the ocean both to the outside and straight below. One is a bar and viewing area while the other is a romantic walkway.

Expanded Cruise Bar

With over 75 different types of Martinis, more area than the previous ones on other Princess ships, and the new glass dueling pianos, the new cruise bar.

The Sanctuary

Already known to be the first adults-only paradise aboard any cruise ship around the world, the new and improved Sanctuary aboard the Royal Princess will have more exclusivity to adults along with access to an adults-only pool accompanied by private poolside cabanas.

Movies Under The Stars

Top Deck Pools

The top deck pools are now bigger and deeper than ever with two being separated by an island-like area set with lawn chairs and wide open spaces. At night this area becomes the perfect spot for colorful water shows and features the biggest Movies Under the Stars screen ever to be aboard a Princess Ship.

Center Court

Sports and Fitness Areas

The Sports and Fitness Areas aboard the Royal Princess will be very dissimilar to those found on most other cruise lines. The reason for this statement is that while it has the traditional fitness center with treadmills and stationary bikes, it also has sports areas with sports and mini-games that aren't traditionally seen out at sea. There really aren't too many other opportunities to play laser tag, get into a laser shooting range competition, or practice your batting while on a ship. A list of similar activities on board would include yoga, spinning, pilates, putt-putt, bocce ball, a jogging track, basketball, tennis, volleyball, ping pon, and an indoor golf driving range. This doesn't quite say everything available aboard the ship, but that being said, it is a quite extraordinary list of things to do on a ship that is in between ports in Europe or the Caribbean.

this is a well done hub, but it seems the sole purpose is advertising.

Thank you for your comments. I am passionate about cruising, and like sharing details on each cruise ship, particularly new ones that have features never seen before, such as the protruding seaside bar that will be featured on the Royal Princess. The Hub has extensive information which took a considerable amount of time and reseach to compile, and contains no pricing, so I do not feel it is advertising.

Please accept my apologies, I was wrong. It is well done, as I said. And the photos and videos are beautiful

Well, I am surprised at the comments above. I was thrilled to be able to see what the new Royal Princess is going to look like, being an avid cruiser myself. It never occurred to me that this was advertising. I love all the information you have provided and it's great to be able to see the pictures of the inside of the ship. I am interested in the food court's new set up too with different areas for different types of food. I definitely want to cruise on this ship since Princess is my favorite cruise line anyway. I say great work and thanks for the information. I will be sharing this! Voted up and useful.

Thank you Karen. Princess has been releasing information to the public little by little, but it's hard to find one website with all of the details in one place, so it was fun doing the research and putting it altogether. If Princess is your favorite cruise line, you will be so impressed with all of the enhancements on the Royal, it will be tough to sail on any others Princess ship afterwards.

The Royal Princess will be 141,000 tons, that can carry up to 3,600 passengers + crew. The ship is being built by Fincantieri at their Monfalcone, Italy shipyard. The prototype design is an evolution of the line's classic style of ships, while including some new features and expanded signature spaces as we noted above.

This is an awesome hub on Princess Cruise! It's just the one I was hoping to make last year with the family...but business wasn't so hot. Later this year, certainly. If you get a chance, maybe you might check out my own hub on cruise ship travel - thanks! http://hubpages.com/travel/7-Amazing-Cruise-Ship-C...
