Sonya's Garden Country Bed and Breakfast, a place to go after strollling at Tagaytay

Dining Area inside a garden

At the Entrance it is Sonya's Garden but in the Menu, it still has its old name that is Sonya's Secret Cottage Restaurant Inc., but visiting there website it is Sonya's Garden. From the gate it will be quite a long walk going to the main restaurant, but just like what the name suggests, it is like touring in a garden until you found the dining area in the middlle.

Sonya's Garden is located at Buck Estate, Alfonso, Cavite 4123, Cavite Philippines

Fresh Dalandan Juice

I was so thirsty when we were on our way to Sonya's Garden, and it was like an answered prayer when the waiiter immediately served us freshly squeezed dalandan juice. Longing for something to drink, the juice just tasted so heavenly. Served as bottomless, it is part of the Set meal/ Eat all you can which costs only P683.00 per person.

Garden Salad Greens

The color of freshly harvested lettuce and arugula is overwhelming. Though I am not really the type that will crave for vegetable salad, this one is something I can't just ignore. This is like a create your own salad, other toppings were served in a separate saucers, the sliced mango, broad beans, sliced eggs, cucumber, Jackfruit, pineapple and corn. They also include fruits that are in season. The choice of Salad dressing is also served on the table, they called one special dressing as Sonya's Secret Salad Dressing, and the other one is Balsamic vinegar/extra virgin olive oil. How refreshing, to think that the vegetable were really freshly picked up from the garden.

Delicious Bread with Gourmet Fillings

Sonya's garden is also known for their freshly baked bread, in fact it has its own Panaderia and they really invite customers to visit the place and try their specialties. Anyway I love bread, specially when served with different dips that I personally called gourmet fillings. The child in me came out for a while, I always love cheese and basil pesto, but there are more like mushrooom pate, black olive tapinade, anchovies and bruschetta tomato toppings. Wish I can eat more but I need to reserve room for other menu, we are just starting I know..

Pasta was immediately serve after the starters. For me this also like a make your own pasta because all the pasta toppings served can be mixed and the tastes is still excellent.. I am a pasta lover and although I consider myself above average in cooking pasta and sauces, it is not a reason for me not to get excited with the two pasta sauces served before me. Sauces were the common red and white, red representing the sun dried tomato, and the white as the chicken cream. Black olives, capers, shitake mushroom, salmon belly, you can mixed them in your pasta according to your choice. Parmesian cheese is always available.

Tarragon Tea

I was so full I can't even finish my pasta, thanks to Tarragon Tea, it lessen the feeling of fullness so I can still make room for dessert hahaha. But this is my first encounter of the Tarragon tea, I wonder if this is available in supermarket. This is served in a small cup but you can always ask for more...

Desserts

Mini Turon
Mini Turon

Desserts were served along the Tarragon tea, the sinful chocolate cake from the Garden's Panaderia, Banana rolls with sesame and jackfruit (or mini turon?) and Glazed Sweet Potato. I am not a fan of chocolate cake but still it looks tempting, but I did not touch it anymore, I just tried a few small pieces of banana rolls and sweet potatoes. Aside from the chocolate cake, the other too were very Filipino...

Sonya's Garden it's more than satisfying your hunger and cravings, it's more of healing and relaxation. I wish to go back to Sonya's Garden someday.... and try to relax more by trying their SPA services and at least to stay overnight in their beautiful beds.

I have yet to visit Sonya's Garden but it seems to have grown through the years from when it was just a small, white cottage. I love tarragon tea. The menu looks yummy.
