Unity in Diversity in India

India and its diversity are not much known to the people living outside India even after so many centuries. India is a vast country with all the diversities one could think of, in culture, in traditions, in food, in travelling places, hill stations, resorts, beaches and many more. Each one is completely different from the other but still Indians prefer to live together and stay together. Unity in diversity as the Indian Government keeps saying, you can find Unity among all these people. Differences of opinion will be there even in ones own family then why can't it be in a country.

Now as the world is coming in to visit and see the places in different parts of India, I just thought of writing about all these one by one so that you can all get an idea of where to travel and what to see according to your taste and interest.

Historical Monuments can also be found in India from the prehistoric Edakkal Caves, to Ajanta, Ellora caves, Khajuraho sculptures and carvings, Archaeological sites and their excavations in Hampi, Badami etc, Museums in different cities and places in India.

I would like to tell you more about all these and more one by one, in detail. You can learn and get more and more information about the places you would love to visit all over India.

Adventure in India - There are places to go if you are an adventure lover and the adventures are available in India, in the shape of, Trekking, Hiking, Rappelling, Sailing, River Rafting and White Water rafting, Mountaineering, Skiing, Angling, Elephant Safaris, Camel Safaris, Para Gliding, Rock climbing, Scuba diving and many more .

Wildlife in India - You can choose from the various wildlife sanctuaries and National Parks in India if you are a wild life adventure enthusiast. You can go trekking to see various birds, migrating , non migrating local birds through out India. Dr Salim nird Sanctuaries are there in Goa as well as Kochi. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary located in the backwaters of Kerala is another you would live to visit. you can go in for Elephant safaris and see wildlife at close encounter in the magnificent waters of the Periyar Lake in Thekkady. Tigers Reserves where you can see Tigers on parole and Gir Forest Lions etc

Almora is a picturesque tourist destination located in the Kumaon Region in the eastern parts of the state of Uttarkhand, in India. The town Almora presents a breathtaking panoramic view of the grand and majestic Himalayas.

Mussoorie is known as the Queen of all hills in India. Mussoorie is located at about 24 kilometers from Dehradun and is placed at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level . Mussoorie has always been considered as the Weekend getaway from Delhi for the people who want relief from the hustle and bustle of the city like and relax with their famiies and friends.

Goa Beaches are many in number and some of them are well known all over the world. Goa has two districts North and South Goa and there are many beaches , namely, Anjuna, Baga, Candolim, Cavellossim, Arambol, Bogmalo and many more like these. There are 5 star deluxe hotels and resorts near these beaches for you to relax and rejuvenate after the tiresome workdays. In some of the resorts you can also have rejuvenating traditional Ayurvedic massages.

The Beach in Chennai, Marina, is about 12 kilometers long and is also known as the second most beautiful beach in the whole world. The Marina beach extends to Santhome, Elliots Beach, Neelnagarai Beach, and goes on and on till Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram Shore temple is a well known tourist attraction by itself.

The beaches in Kerala namely, Kovalam, Varkala, Bekal, Kappad, Cherai, etc. These and many more beaches are located along the Arabian Sea. Not only beaches are there in Kerala, you can also see a network of canals and lakes better known as the backwaters of Kerala.

Bekal Beach is located in the Kasaragod district , very close to the Bekal fort and is a very sleepy village. Bekal fort is the largest and the best preserved fort in the whole of India. The Fort stands on a promontary between two virgin beaches Bekal Beach and the Pallikara Beach. The Pallikara beach is very shallow and safe for swimming and also has very good facilities for recreation and relaxation. You can see the spectacular Bekal fort from both these beaches .

These beaches are located at about 8 kilometers from Kanhangad in the Kasaragod district and is abput 50 kilometers from the Mangalore airport. The nearest international airport is Karipur airport in Kozhikode about 180 kilometers away.

Alappuzha Beach is a beautiful beach located in the Alappuzha better known as Alleppey. This area os referred to as the Venice of the East and had always been an important place in the maritime history of the state of Kerala, from the olden days. This beach is a popular picnic spot and the pier extending to the sea here is over 137 years old. There is Vijaya Beach park, Old Lighthouse as the attracrions for the tourists. Kettu Valloms or the boat with knots of the olden days are the houseboats of today which can be seen cruising up and down majestically in the backwaters.
