Travel to Mazatlan
Mazatlan
If you have never been to Mexico you must go! Mazatlan is a really fun place to go on vacation. My husband and I went not too long ago with friends and really enjoyed our stay. We felt comfortable with the local people and interactions were pleasant.
The "Gold Coast "is a poplar strip of property, restaurants and hotels line the beaches. The Gold Coast pictures Hawaii's Waikiki beaches, with similar latitudes the climates are virtually the same too. The temperatures average 60-90 year round and In the summer it can get in the high 90's for days. The ocean welcomes a refreshing swim during the day.The hotel staff accommodated our needs and wants just like any other hotel in America. Our friends travel there twice a year for several years now and have made good friends with the locals and Canadian friends who live there too.
Map of Mazatlan
The nightlife is happening in Mazatlan . It is a popular destination for clubbing and dancing, the Mexicans go there to relax and have fun too so everyone is in good spirits! Evening strolls and dining are our favorite things to do evening. The menus have plenty items to choose from and lots of other Americans were there that we got acquainted with.
Mid morning we take off to El Centro (The city center market) for a special breakfast made by the "momma-sitas" upstairs. There are several little cafe's to choose from and Let me tell you, these ladies fix the best "huevos rancheros" with fresh avocado and salsa. I love their homemade Chile realno's too. You will be amazed at the size of this place it is like a Saturday market mall. Everyone comes here to shop for everything including food, besides the usual souvenirs, I bought some fresh fruit and veggies to fix salsa and smoothies in our Kitchenette at the hotel. NOTE: be sure to wash food with bacterial rinse like mycrodin before eating them. In the afternoon is the hottest part of the day, so be sure to wear sunblock if you are out in the sun or swimming. During that time of day is a good time to set up you spa appointments or hit bar for a cold mango margarita!
Our hotel set up some wonderful day trips for us . We traveled to "Rosario" a 76 km trip. Our tour guides spoke English and they were so funny! We visited the farming fields and Santo Domingo, we also visited "Capilla del Rosario" its one of the most beautiful Chapels I have ever seen. It is elaborately decorated with gold! We ate shrimp tacos in Rosario's city square and shopped. In the evening we watched the sunset on a secluded beach with friends, the locals cooked a special dinner just for us, shrimp & lobster tails! I felt like a mafia princess, we rode around in black suburbans (fast) with special treatment. The men went on a fishing trip too. With all the dancing & music, beautiful people the fun and food, we had the time of our lives! I have to say Mazatlan is calling me back, is it calling you now?
great place!
