Dewayne's Diner, Dover, AR, Frugal Vacations

An awesome local diner in our town is Dewayne's Diner. They have local flavor, and affordable bar-b-que.

For a family who is hungry, I recommend the Barbeque Family Packs.

My personal favorite aside from the breakfast menu is the Taco Salad Bowl. Dewayne's has Bar-B-Que catering prices that beat anything I have ever seen.

Dewayne's Diner has a little bit of everything for everyone, and even those on a budget can get a bite to eat.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner - You can call an order in to pick up, or dine in. It is located on Scenic Hwy 7N on the way up through the Ozarks in Dover, Arkansas. Lots of 'strangers' visit.

The silence and stares are mostly friendly and short lived, they are glad to have you come by and sit a spell. Do not be alarmed when as you walk out of the door they hollar', "Come Back ya here?", they are just inviting you to stop by again real soon.

Hwy 7 N Scenic, is a favorite route for many bikers, truckers, canoeers, and other travelers.

During banker's hours there are less large spaces available, but on weekends, and after 5:00 pm, there are several lots of extra parking. The Arkansas River Valley Bank next door, is closed on Sunday's so several campers, and a couple of big trucks can park here.

For families traveling, who hope to meet up with other friends or family, Dewaynes is a good spot to take a load off, push some tables together, and have a reunion. Order Pie for the celebration.

Dewayne's Diner serves the locals daily, and for historical purposes there is the famed "liar's club table" where some of the locals can be heard discussing the world's problems, or telling a tall fish tale or two. This is their table, so in the mornings between 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. there is one table that is reserved for these distinguished gentlemen.

Don't worry, there are still plenty of places to sit, and if need be, Dewayne and them will move tables around to fit a patron's need. They have high chairs, and booster seats too.
