Vacation In The Beautiful Philippines

A beautiful vacation on a tropical island can come true when you pick the Philippines as your destination. You can save a lot of money on your flight if you search for different months and days you leave on. There are many beautiful beach resorts scattered across the islands. The Philippines are made up of 3 major islands and over 7000 minor ones, giving you many different activities. The cost of food, lodging, and transportation is usually quite low. This will more than make up the cost of the plane ticket.

The people here are very friendly, helpful, and English is one of the major languages here. The cultures here are mixed with many American style restaurants available. I recommend you avoid these and go for the local places, where the food is awesome. There are many different types of transportation available, buses, taxis, jeepneys, motorcycles, and even bicycles with attached sidecars. It is usually quite warm here so I prefer an air-conditioned taxi.

If you love to shop, Manila is the place to be. Manila is home to some very big malls, with your convience in mind. The currency here is the peso, like in all of the Philippines. There are also local markets and street vendors who sell everything from bottled water to umbrellas. An umbrella here is very useful, for the sun is very hot here and it is easy to burn. Boracay is a beautiful beach resort on a small island near Manila. I highly recommend you visit here.

Davao City is about a 90 minute plane ride from Manila. It is a beautiful city with many things to do here. Paradise Island, Crocodile Park, Eden Nature Park, Pearl Farms Beach Resort, just to name a few. There is a tunnel you can tour that was dug during World War 2. Eden Nature Park is an hour drive from the main city up a mountain. Pictures just do not do this place justice, you have to see it with your own eyes,

Before you plan your trip here, make sure your passport is current. You will be able to visit the Philippines for up to 21 days without a visa. Your credit and bank cards will work at most atm machines and places of business. Bring a good camera with extra batteries. Carry with you a good sunscreen lotion. And most of all, have fun. Enjoy your vacation.

Arriving in Philippines

Arriving by plane is fairly easy when coming to the Philippines. Getting through customs is fairly quick and easy. Airport staff and security are happy to assist you if you need help with connecting flights to other cities. The airport is well designed with access to taxi and other forms of transportation readily available.

Many Islands

With the Philippines being composed of over 7000 thousand islands, air travel here is very important. Most places can be reached by air in under three hours. For more leisurely visits to smaller close-by islands, boats of various sizes are often used. The weather is always warm and the people friendly. This makes for a very good vacation.

Thank you angela. There is a lot of bad anywhere in the world, mostly due to greed. Imagine what we could accomplish if greed no longer ruled.
