Breakfast in Vermont

Each morning you come down to a kitchen full of good Vermont home cooking. Most days we serve homemade quiche with coffee or tea.

Some of our more popular quiches are Spinach and Mushroom, Heirloom Asparagus with Ham and Mushrooms, Kale with Snow Peas or Zucchini with Corn and Red Bell Peppers. Of course, we will always ask your preference at the time you make your reservation.

During the fall, when the apples are ripe, we often have fresh squeezed apple cider. In the spring we often serve homemade pancakes drizzled with pure Vermont Maple Syrup.

Finding your way to Royalton Bed and Breakfast

Located conveniently between Exits 2 and 3 off from I-89, Royalton Bed and Breakfast is situated on 133 acres of farmland and forest. It is Vermont just the way you always dreamed it would be. There are cow filled pastures. There are walking trails. The pasture is filled with wildflowers and the trails beckon you to to explore.

Just a few hours from NYC, Boston or Montreal, Royalton Bed and Breakfast is an ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

The trail to the Waterfall

Walk out the old road, discontinued in 1840, between the stone walls to the edge of the bank and then follow it down to where you hear the rushing water. The waterfall is especially beautiful when the snows are melting or when there has been a heavy rainstorm.

It is a pleasant walk out to the waterfall. During the spring there are many flowers including Trilliums which are an endangered species. It is often damp along the path so mushrooms, ferns and horsetails can be found.

The trees are full of birds calling back and forth to each other. Pilliated Woodpeckers hammer on dead branches. You might even scare up a Ruffled Grouse.

B&B with a Fireplace

The fire is burning to welcome you to Royalton Bed and Breakfast. Come in and relax by the fire on a cold Vermont day. Nothing beats a fire when the cold winds blow.

Driving the Back Roads of Vermont

One day last summer I shot this photo on Back River Road just before Royalton Bed and Breakfast. The bright green leaves of summer quickly grow to fill the roadsides with a feeling of a lush rainforest.

Summer in Vermont is a wonderful time to visit antique shops, craft fairs, heritage festivals and much more and Royalton Bed and Breakfast, in central Vermont, is the perfect home base for exploring.

Vermont's Four Season

Haven't been to Vermont. I've often said I would love to go in the fall. You know what would be great on this page? A video showing the beautiful countryside. Now that would be pretty persuasive.

I love Bed and Breakfast places to stay at when on vacation! I have never been to Vermont but sure would love to go there one day. Thank you for sharing! :) I would be one of the people on the trail to the waterfall, with camera in hand. I love those kinds of things, including the flowers and any kind of wildlife.

We enjoy driving through the northern US states, especially in the fall. Vermont is so beautiful.
