As a matter of fact I have! Several trips in fact, from coast to coast. The first in the late 50's when my father was transferred to Hawaii. We drove across country and sailed to the islands. The trip was incredible, especially the well visited Grand Canyon, Salt Lake City, and other parks. Knottsberry Farm and Disney Land were great too. I remember losing a shoe on the Riverboat so we had to search for some footwear.
The return trip was even better. We were snowed in at Yosemite National Park in May. A bear stole the milk that we had on a stump in the snow for safe keeping. There was no fridge in the cabin we were luckily able to find for the night. The Falls were awesome and the only down side was we were sooooo cold; unprepared for a winter journey.
Last year I traveled with a friend from L.A. to Florida to help her move back. We had Roxie the boxer and a jeep full of stuff. It was a quick 5 days, with highlights stopping at the Grand Canyon, Sedona, New Orleans and Biloxi.
Currently, my better half and I are RVing from Florida to Alaska. We have seen some beautiful landscape including Falling Waters, dry caverns, Gulf Shores and Galveston. I am blogging the trip on another site but may change to this one!
