I live in Australia, so I don't need to travel 'to' it, but I've travelled quite a bit in it. I had a small motor-home and that was a great way to go as I have children in both Victoria and Queensland. If I were in a hurry, I'd go on the inland route and even with stopping for rests at the required every two hours, I'd usually only spend two nights on the way. The no-hurry way was along the Princes Highway, which hugs the coastline much of the way. A great route in the summer, as when it was near the Pacific we could have a swim before our meals. Lots of interesting things to see, places to visit, so this route might take a week. Of course, when we reach Brisbane, we're really only half-way up Australia, so there's lots more to see in the tropics, too. Have you been here?
