   Hello buckleupdorothy,
   
   (me again :-) It was when I watched this show on telly. There is an artist in America who thought that the chewing gum on the pavements looked so dreadful he decided to paint beautiful pictures on them. I am telling you, they looked awesome! People can even higher him to paint the chewing gums in front of their homes, weird but fantastic.

   Once, I saw a bunch of tourists posing in front of a garbage can having pictures taken.  They were so enthralled by the garbage can like someone would be if they saw a waterfall or a statue of someone famous.
   They almost knocked my sister and I over when they first spotted the can.  They were so excited.

   I was at work, I looked out the window and saw a young man sprinting by in only his underware. Later we found out that he had been caught shoplifting at the market down the street, but when he was tackled he wriggled out of his baggy pants.

   How can I choose??  So many strange, wonderful, and sad things I've seen on the street are popping into my mind--  but also a cool funny one that happened today:
   
   At the park with my toddler son, I noticed three tough-looking male teens approaching. 
   As they passed us,  as one was asking (I'm editing here for content)  his friends,  "So what are we gonna do now you mother f-ers?"   
   I see one of the other friends glance down at my little boy, up at me, and then say,  "Hey dude, watch the language--kids here."
   
   I don't know, for some reason this just slays me.  The unexpected politeness of teenagers--love it.

   I have seen many strange things, ranging from discarded panties in Charleston to entire herds of cattle resting in doorways in parts abroad.

   I was in a city for a conference. I had a morning presentation to give, so as I walk down the street I see a man bloody in the middle of the street with cars driving around him. I put down my presentation materials and grabbed/dragged him to the sidewalk. He looked like he got his face beat in. In any event, he looked at me and took off running down an alley. I wish I had a phone so I could call for help, but I lost track of him.

      You would have thought that someone would have pulled over to see if he was okay.  But, they don't. They just keep driving on as if they didn't see a thing.

   Two young guys beeing kicked out from their rental accomodation decided
   to make their cosy living room/bedroom in the middle of the street that was blocked off due to repairs. They arranged their sofa, table, chairs even TV (just to show off I assume) and had a great time talking to bystanders while eating their dinner until police came...as I heard they just moved to another quiet street....cheeky buggers wanted to make their point of unavailability of good and cheap rental accomodation in our area...
