   Excellent question. Luckily, I don't feel the impact of Sandy because I live in the West Coast. However, I have been watching the news and my heart goes out to those who are being affected by it right now. By the way, a 7.7 earthquake hit British Columbia a few hours ago and Hawaii authorities are worrying about a possible tsunami. I hope it doesn't happen, though.

   I live in western Massachusetts and we are preparing for the arrival of Sandy.  It is suppose to arrive by tomorrow morning.
   
   We have stored all of the patio furniture, have gas in the cars, and plenty of food and batteries.  The storm drains have been cleared of leaves.  We are ready should the storm be as bad as advertised.

   I live in Morgantown, WV, & I'm not too worried. It's supposed to start raining this afternoon & not stop for days. The worst of most storms seem to miss us, & fortunately, I don't have to drive anywhere. I am worried slightly worried about our basement flooding, because we've had problems with it in the past with a lot less rain than what they're calling for now, but we've got most of our stuff off the ground, so hopefully we'll be ok. My biggest worry, actually, is losing electricity for a long period of time.

   I am not "feeling it" in south Texas, however I do have an article that is being updated about it and am "sensing"  the magnitude of this storm. It is a very historic storm in the making and will impact from 50 to 60 million U.S. residents!

      You get your share with Twisters anyway, don't you? I saw the extent of hurricane damage on New Orleans years ago; they won't want another one.

   It's still calm here in Northern Virginia, but we've tied down the grill, tested out the generator, and stocked up on water!

   Here in Georgia, we just have slightly heavier winds and cloud cover from Sandy's outer bands, but I live a little more inland. People who live closer to the coast lines might have more to say about that. I am afraid she won't be as nice to our neighbors to the north.  I'm praying everyone stays safe.

   Here in NY we are waiting.  South of us (NYC) preparations are being made.  We are being told it will be about the same as Irene but will last longer.  Downed trees are going to be the biggest problem since they take wires with them.  IF I continue to have electric, I'll update when it hits.

      What's it like now Sandy's passed? I've seen the images - moving and still - on Sky News and BBC Terrestrial TV., heard the interviews etc. We probably can imagine it fully, as we had something like it back in the mid-80's in London and the S. East.

    It's Sunday at noon Eastern Time. I'm on the South Shore of Long Island and the wind is starting to blow a bit. In a few hours Sandy shall have moved in (for a few days). I'll be communicating via Ipad in near future. Don't expect power.

    No, I haven't felt any wrath lately, but I don't really find the word play on this storm to be funny, as the media has dubbed this pre-Halloween storm as "Frankenstorm."  What, is it fabricated by scientists like on the movie Frankenstein or what?  Anyway, I would find it funny if some of the online publishers from some of these News sites, that advertise "Frankenstorm," have a natural weather-related calamity strike their home and cause a negative effect upon them.  Sort of like a tree that falls through their roof and lands on their computer just as they are running to the internet to blast more silly puns upon the masses; then, while running to their car to go to the publishing house for that last stab of asinine verbiage, they get a mega flood along the way that sends their vehicle adrift along the highway into the unknown...  LOL!

    I live in Upstate NY about 200 miles from New York City.  Waiting.  Praying, praying, praying!  I don't wish this on anyone!  My sister and I are praying the storm changes direction and goes out to sea.
    
    I hope hubbers will join us in this prayer, for God's grace and mercy.  This is supposed to be a monster storm.
    
    We do not have a generator.  They are all sold out in this area. 
    
    We have water, batteries,and have stocked up on cat food for our 4 felines who do not understand that a storm is coming. 
    
    I live right near Binghamton where that horrible flood hit in September 2011.  Many are still recovering from that nightmare.
    
    I told God, "this is in Your hands, You are in control."
    
    I pray we do not lose power.  If we don't, like tillsontitan, I will stay in touch.
