I have had the opportunity to visit and live in several states. As a child we traveled for my father's work as an engineer on the IBM (inter-balistic missile) sites. These states were mostly in the western part of the country, Washington, California, Arizona, North Dakota and Wyoming.
Later, My father moved over to a new company, Bendix and our family traveled to Florida while he worked on the Apollo rockets and the Moon Project at Cape Kennedy.
As an adult, I live in Idaho, and have for the past forty years, but have traveled to many other states, visiting friends, or going on hunting and fishing trips. Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, are some of the states I have gunned woodcock and ruffed grouse, and have course, Wisconsin for the same.
One of my favorite states Alaska, kept me for several years working the Trans Alaskan Pipe Line, from it’s beginning in Prudoe Bay, to it’s termination in Valdez. I have returned to this great state to bow-hunt for the Barren Ground caribou north of the Brooks Mountains, to gun for ptarmigan with our English setters in it’s interior and the far reaches of the Aleutian chain, and to fish the rivers and streams for trout, salmon and Arctic grayling.
In all, I have traveled to, or through thirty-five of the fifty sates; all with different memories and adventures.
