Many sites have given different ratings and I have given the list which is proposed by Mercer’s City Rankings. Best cities to live can be rated based on education, safety, hygiene, health care, culture, environment, recreation, public transportation and economic stability. Individuals and companies will use this information to plan for extensions towards best cities to live. The survey is done taking New York as base standard with 100 score. Vienna heads the list with a score of 108.6. Below I have given the 10 Best places to live in the world.

Vienna is also the host of United Nations and many other organizations founded by UN. Under many studies of world cities Vienna is selected as the best city for having quality of living.  It is located in northeastern Austria at the eastern extension of Alps. Austria found its name in history with Romans as they fortified the city in 15 BC to guard the Emperor against the attacks from German tribes.  Later in 1804 Vienna became the capital of Austrian Empire and plays a vital role in Europe and in world politics.  Vienna is known for having a long tradition with art and culture including opera, theater, and classical music. Vienna can also be considered as a good tourist and leisure spots. Many ice rinks and sledging parks are present here where you can skate in indoor rinks. Zurich is located in central Switzerland at the northwestern tip of Lake Zurich. Zurich is a hub of railways, roads and air traffic. Zurich has a global importance and it is one among the world’s largest financial centers. City is a home to a large number of banking giants. It is the most important international co-operation center with New York because of having a large no of international organizations including headquarters of many UN organizations and Red Cross. Geneva is famous for Geneva Conventions which chiefly concern the treatment of wartime non-combatants and prisoners of war. Dusseldorf has mild winters and moderately warm summers. It is the capital city of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia. I love Vienna but you could have used a nicer picture of it! Another great city (but much smaller) in Austria is Salzburg. Did Budapest rank anywhere near those ten by the way?

I have not visited all these cities but I have been to Bern and it is beautiful. I like also, Vancouver canada, Bali, Tokyo and Jaipur. But, then again, I like all the cities I have visited and some I wish to.
