After saving up a long time we loved camper vanning around 12 countries in Europe + Britain. Greece/Ireland  were awesome ..Also explored some of America /Canada with Amtrak and a highlight was visiting Alaska . We are now in Spain! I love to hear other Hubbers stories so where have you explored ?

I believe it was Berlin, back when The Wall was still up.  This was in 1982,  Berlin was an island of freedom in the middle of East Germany, a communist country.  Every week, at least one person would be killed trying to scale The Wall into this island of freedom.  I found the experience creepy.  I can't believe I actually went through Checkpoint Charlie into East Germany - by myself!!!

That would have been an amazing experience. We visited Berlin last year, Saw part of the wall still standing + went thru Checkpoint Charlie etc.

For me, it was Maldives as I have for the first time enjoyed the under water world. The beauty and life under water blew me away. I grew up around water but it was only in Maldives where the almost perfect visibility in the water encouraged me to snorkel. We were lucky to have stayed there for about 2 years. My memory has never been richer.

Israel just after the war ended this summer.  Few other tourists until we were about to leave.  Amazing country to survive in such a hostile location. Now I have a much better understanding of the middle east and the conflict there.
