It is about 80 miles from Nazareth to Jerusalem and less than 10 more miles to Bethlehem. Mary and Joseph may have taken longer if they had traveled the safer route east of the Jordan River and walked south, then west to Jerusalem adding an additional 30 miles to their trip. They could have walked a total of 120 miles one way with Mary pregnant and on a donkey.

What's the furthest you've ever traveled?

I've hiked a maximum of maybe 35 miles in my youth but 120 miles ... Nah!

The most I think I ever hiked was five miles...it may have been a little more but not much more.  120 miles?  I cannot comprehend that in my mind.  Distance knows no distance, though, when God is at work!

You are so right. That had to be a journey by Faith as well as necessity!

Good question and challenging story: Mary and Joseph, Joseph and Mary, they had individually knowledge the Creators purpose in the history of mankind... Their walking has been in stages, to arrive to the Bethlehem exactly "just on time."
Each of our walk...?A personal destination... mine was at military some  40 miles, during the day, well conditioned, well prepared designated purpose by others...

When we walk with purpose ... the impossible becomes possible!
