A visit to The Kansas City Country Club Plaza always has a touch of magic in it with it's European flavor, it's fountains, and horse drawn carriages,. The Plaza is a major landmark in Kansas City, a premier shopping district and a place for many festivals and events, including the Plaza Art Fair and the Dragon Boat Races, but the most loved event is the Plaza Lighting Ceremony which happens every year on Thanksgiving Evening.

My favorite time of year to visit the Plaza is when the Christmas lights are on from Thanksgiving Day through January 17.
