My TOP 10!

 

When i travel abroad, sometimes it is not easy to find information on the Internet about good restaurants. So, I decided to post my TOP 10 favorite restaurants in the Lisbon area, to help all the tourists that like to eat in style. Hope you like it!

1 - Olivier Café (Lisboa - near Cais do Sodré)

There are several "Olivier" restaurants in Lisbon and they are all very good. My favorite is Olivier Café, near the entrance to Bairro Alto. The food is simply incredible, and the decoration very sophisticated. Highly recommended.

2 - Montemar (Cascais)

This is a beautiful restaurant in Cascais, with a great sea view and very good food. Absolutely trendy.

3 - Meste Zé (Cascais)

Great sea view, nice decoration and very good food, especially the fish dishes.

4 - Gordini Estoril (São João Estoril)

Wonderful building by the sea with a great terrace, and beautiful rooms. Good variety of dishes (from simple to more complex) at your disposal and an excellent price/quality relationship.

5 - Farol Design Restaurante (Cascais)

Address: Av. Rei Humberto II de Itália, nº 7, 2750-461 Cascais

Beautifully decorated restaurant, very modern, with very nice food and one of the best views over the Lisbon coast. The outdoor terrace is a must.

6 - Sushi Rio (Lisboa)

This is a very good Japanese restaurant, with a great balcony view over river Tejo , "Cristo Rei" monument and the bridge "25 Abril". The rooms have a modern decoration.

7 - Papa Açorda (Lisboa)

This is a classic and trendy restaurant in "Bairro Alto". The food is very sophisticated and the rooms are very well decorated, in Portuguese style.

8 - Mercearia Vencedora (Cascais)

Nice and simple food in a relaxing environment, great service.

9 - Espalha Brasas (Lisboa)

Address: Doca de Sto Amaro, Armazém 12, Alcântra

Price: Medium (20-30 eur)

Very nice restaurant, next to the river, with a great service, food and view. It is inserted in the Alcantara dock area of Lisboa, a place with a lot of good restaurants.

10 - Las Brasitas (Lisboa)

Address: Doca de Santo Amaro Armazém 16 - Lisboa

Other restaurant in the Alcantara dock area, specialized in meat dishes. The food is very good and the rooms are very nicely decorated.

I can vouch for the Montemor which is just fabulous I hasd lunch there a few months back and yes it is pricy but as a treat it is worth the visit as is indeed the Cascais.
