Keep Missoula Weird: Destinations

Missoula Valley

Welcome to Missoula

I know your not here yet, but welcome anyways. Missoula is an amazing town nestled along the Rocky Mountain front. The city has a population of roughly 60,000, with 90,000 people in the surrounding outlying areas. Missoula is the home of the University of Montana – Go Griz! – and numerous, numerous outdoor and indoor recreation activities. Whether your coming here for school, vacation, work or just passing through, you are bound to find enough to keep you occupied. But, please be kind--and as the bumper stickers say, ‘Help keep Missoula Weird’.

Renting a car in Missoula

The first thing you’ll want to do is get yourself a Missoula car rental. Montana is a big state and the fun in and around Missoula is spread out wide under the big sky. Because of our sparsely populated city-area, public transportation just can’t take you everywhere you need to go, unlike larger cities. Having your own wheels will allow you to make your own schedule on your own time. There are a number of great car rental stores located conveniently to those entering Missoula via plane, train or automobile. Check out the map below for specific locations.
