Hailing from the famed “Borscht Belt” region of Upstate New York’s Catskill Mountains, Adam grew up at the Nevele Resort & Country Club. If you saw Dirty Dancing, you have an inkling of Adam’s upbringing.

Adrenaline junkie tendencies and a unique skill set enabled Adam to kick off his literary career penning high octane feature articles for hip men’s lifestyle publications. When editors had a story idea that could get a journalist maimed or killed, they’d usually send Adam.

These participatory adventures resulted in Adam being shot, stabbed, tazed, stun-gunned, sapped, brass knuckled, water-boarded, choked out, knocked out, body-slammed, roundhouse-kicked, swimming with great white sharks sans cage, sky-diving sans parachute, BASE-jumping sans sanity, racing through Mexico in the Baja 1000, and racing across the USA in the original variation of the Gumball Rally.

Adam has dived for pirate treasure in the Caribbean, dug for buried artifacts in Europe, hunted for poachers guided by mercenaries in Africa, played poker with cartel kingpins in Juarez, thrown dice with Mafia enforcers in Brooklyn, scouted for UFOs with alien abductees in the Sonora Desert and, courtesy of a secondary degree in Cryptozoology from the University of Haiti in Port au Prince, taken part in Sasquatch safaris and other “crypto-quests” around the world.

Prior to slinging words, Adam slung cocktails. His mixology adventures yielded six published titles, all from Surrey Books/Agate Publishing. Five are illustrated by renowned “kitsch culture” artist, Shag, the most notable being Tiki Drinks.

An experienced poker player, Adam spent years as a feature columnist for both Bluff and Bluff Europe, and has authored two poker books: Pick Up Your Poker Game and Cracked Aces: The Wildest, Craziest, Most Unbelievable TRUE Poker Stories.

The graphic novel, Ayre Force, created for billionaire multimedia mogul Calvin Ayre, featuring artwork by acclaimed illustrator Shawn Martinbrough, was among the hits of the 2008 New York Comic-Con.

Nothing Runs, published by Veloce Press UK, chronicles Adam’s passion for performance automobiles, and his hilarious misadventures in the classic and exotic car biz.

The Pirate Handbook: A Rogue’s Guide to Pillage, Plunder, Chaos & Conquest, published by Chronicle Books, was ghostwritten for serial entrepreneur, TV personality, best-selling author, and former Philadelphia 76ers owner, Pat Croce, owner of the St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum.

Mule: My Dangerous Life as a Drug Smuggler Turned DEA Informant, published by Lyons Press/Globe Pequot, is the true crime memoirs of ex- Mexican drug cartel smuggler and lifelong El Paso resident C.A. Heifner.

My Brother’s Keeper: Above & Beyond “The Dotted Line” With The NFL’s Most Ethical Agent, was ghosted for Eugene Lee, the NFL agent at the center of Morgan Spurlock’s ESPN documentary, The Dotted Line.

A Guide to Improvised Weaponry: How To Protect Yourself With WHATEVER You’ve Got, co-written with Green Beret Master Sergeant Terry Schappert, star of Discovery’s Dude, You’re Screwed, was published by Adams Media.

Plunder, an exciting Young Adult action/adventure novel set during the Golden Age of Piracy, was co-written with Pat Croce and published by Turner Publishing.

They Are Here, an action/thriller feature set in the realm of phenomenology and Remote Viewing, was written for Steven Seagal and Steamroller Productions, based on Seagal’s own experiences with the CIA.

Mad Dog, a docu-reality show based on the wild daily adventures of child prodigy and former CIA spy craft engineer Kevin “Mad Dog” McClung, was recently set up at Lionsgate TV/Rogue Atlas Productions.

Dark Genius, a scripted episodic series loosely based on Kevin “Mad Dog” McClung’s experiences within the CIA’s hide-in- plain-sight Mentally Gifted Minors Program, hits the market soon.

Rex, an exciting Middle Grade action/adventure novel, recently published by Common Deer Press, has received rave reviews and is currently in to all the major studios.

Big Game, an action/thriller novel, based on a feature article about hunting poachers in Africa that Adam penned for Maxim Magazine in the late-90s, will be published in late-2017 by Endeavour Press.
