Am a freelance writer, writing and loving life. Previously an Adolescent school counselor.

Becoming a writer I found this quote interesting -

'There are three rules for writing a novel - Fortunately nobody knows what they are'

Seen on a book shop window Chelsea, London, March 2011.

I now live in the beautiful Byron Hinterland in NSW Australia on a small 8 acre farm with my husband, son & two dogs.

I have recently published my first contemporary YA novel Breathless which is available at Amazon.com:Books MM Carter.

My first short story 'High School Blues' is also available on Amazon.

I love my 8 acre paddock, my new farm life, growing my own food and serving it at my table; the mountains and the Hinterland beauty; the ocean and its hypnotic effect on my mind; my baby grandaughters and grandsons who I am totally in love with.

I write diverse hubs but will often draw from years of experience working as a professional counselor for hubs about children and adolescents.

I love to write on hub pages and am so glad I found somewhere to write about the things I love and things I'm learning about in life. You can also enjoy writing here as well and be a part of a caring supportive writing community by joining up @ HubPages.com.

You can also find me on my blog "The Green Room 04darcy.blogspot.com or on twitter @ 04darcy.

Voting section of Hubs too pale!!

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the voting section on hubs doesn't stand out enough?? It used to be green and red and easy to see...but now the pale blue color I find is easy to skim over it as it's not...
