A couple of years ago a friend approached me about a Non-profit he was working with here in Thailand where I live. They needed help with their mailing list management, would I be interested in helping?
I looked into the non profit, and was immediately impressed with the work they were doing. They run several programs that touched my heart. and readily agreed to give a hand where I could help.
One of my first thoughts about Warm Heart Worldwide was that they needed a new website, desperately.
I discovered that they had been working on a design for quite some time, but the pieces and players just never fell into place to actually get the ball rolling. It was on the back burner, too many other important daily issues to work on.
Having a little experience building my own websites, I offered to help. What a challenge that task became! The experience gave me the opportunity to really understand every aspect of their programs, and get to know Micahel Shafer and Evelind Schecter, the founders and activists behind Warm Heart.
It has been a wonderful journey.
They have a full spectrum of programs that are helping an impovershed village grow into a stronger and sustainable community.
While I see all projects being of equal value and working together synergetically, the Environmental Program has captured my full attention.
Every day I am learning more about Gloabl Warming and Climate change. Not just the looming impacts we are facing, but solutions to halt the warming and even reverse it. Sharing information with others about what can be done has become my new passion.

Biochar has many attributes, one of which is the ability to cool off the earth. Smoke pollution is a major contributor to climate change. The process of making biochar eliminates the smoke.
