Born Earth Day 1977 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio,
Daniel excelled at an early age and in 1995 was awarded the
National Scholastic and Sue Wall Art Award as the nation’s best
young artist. Despite his poor high school grades he attended the
Cleveland Institute of Art on full scholarship, but soon abandoned
this for travel, studying music and art across the country.
In 2003, he attended Antioch college as an Olympia Brown
Scholar and Rod Serling Fellow to study art here and abroad,
earning a triple BA in the creative fields of illustration, creative
writing and music composition, while he was at the top of his
class, playing and coaching for the school’s basketball and soccer
teams, and chairing the school’s council in the process!
Daniel is now a full time artist based in his home town, where
he has developed the Attemptist style of design. Drawing from
his multifaceted background, he utilizes elements of painting,
collage and sculpture; creating an experience across time and
sensory input for the observer to participate in, he attempts to
recapture the relevancy of visual art, beyond two dimensional
thinking and form, as the forefront of creative interpretation
