Hey everyone! My name's E.T. I'm a graphic designer, farmer, artist, writer, and recent grad with a degree in Biology. I live in the Ozarks, out in the country, on a little farm next to a creek. I'm afraid the one or two simple words to describe me don't exist yet. I have had a deep seated fascination with life and a natural distaste of rules ever since I was a kid, so my daring curiosity always led me to look into things that piqued my interest. I spent much of my time growing up exploring outside and creating art.I also had the unique circumstance, in this time period, to spend most of my raising with an extremely elderly family presence, creating an interest in the pioneer lifestyle after being raised by and exposed to the tales of my great-grandmother born in dawn of the 20th century. My Native American heritage has brought me a strong bond with the natural world, leading me to live in a spiritually coherent way that combines the native and pioneer lifestyles. As a millennial I have interests and skills that few of my peers find as interesting: Antiques, gardening, self-sufficiency, living a spartan, within-my-means lifestyle. I wasn't always as interested, though, it took some growing up to do, but here in my second decade on earth I'm finally starting to see what's important about life. I'm an artist, and my creativity has gotten me through a lot in life; a skill I cherish and hope to share. I have utilized my right brain emphasis to learn to draw, paint, sculpt, carve, craft, and digitally create just about anything. This creates abundant ammunition for an alternative lifestyle from the norm, because creativity can be harnessed in so many prosperous ways. As an introvert I found that dedicating myself to self-improvement with the time I save from partying and the hustle and bustle of society. I don't watch tv, except for documentaries online and a movie every once in a while. I spend a lot of time reading and learning in my free time. I look at things in the regards to how will it make me a better person or benefit others. I believe in self improvement, health, and spreading good around. Free time and peace to myself has to be one of the most transformative and productive things I've done. I joined Squidoo because I hope to increase my writing prowess, share my knowledge passed down and researched, as well as my skills to help increase others' knowledge.
