"Winter is coming."

I was in the Navy, now retired. I was stationed in Hawaii and went all around the pacific. I wrote a lot on the Submarine, it is a good stress reliever! I really enjoy writing about literature, politics, and philosophy so that is mainly what I stick to. I am a Journalism Major and editor (newsletters) at SPC's Student Support Center in Seminole, Florida.

One of the best feelings I get from writing on HubPages is seeing my articles get views. It's a good feeling, you know, when people are reading your stuff.

Hey guys!If you haven't heard, the Patriots won the Super Bowl! As a Pats fan I am pretty happy about the turnout. However, I came to terms during the game that we were going to lose. That last Seahawks drive had me sweating! What did you think about the game? These two teams were so evenly matched...

Do you think it would be a good idea for hubpages to implement a personnal chat option? I feel like I could have some wonderful conversations with people but find that forums are tedious and can be derailed too easily. Also, they get very disorganized. What do you think?

      What's with my Hub score...

This month has been a really great month for me. My Hub views have been at 500% views each week, averaging 200-300 views a day. My actual score has went from 90 to 80 in that time. I know there is no correlation between the score and the content, but it still agitates me lol.

Hello Hubbers!Fred here! So the other day I was thinking about what kind of topics I want to write about and found this awesome list of research topics. There's a little more than a hundred. I figured why not challenge myself to write 2-3 Hub articles on these topics a week till I finish a hundred...

Have you noticed anything weird about your Hubs...

So I'm going through my Hubs and making sure they are mobile/desktop friendly. I noticed that a lot of my hub capsules have ridiculous amounts of spaces to them after the paragraph ends. It makes it so there is a bunch of white space between the sections of my Hubs. Has anyone else noticed this?...

There has been some interesting moves by the Republican majority in many states to push through right-to-work legislation. This would cripple unions in a lot of ways. Are you for or against right-to-work? http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2 … ttack.html

I've been here 5 months. The first month I didn't really pay attention to the site at all, but after that I began to put in some effort. In those four months I am at 800~ views a week which is something I didn't expect to ever see. Hubpages seemed like a pretty lost cause to me. However, I've had a...

Ferguson Makes a Statement: Taking the Police Force to Court

In an interesting, but not unwarranted move, the Black Lawyers For Justice law group has filed a $40 Million lawsuit in the defense of six people who claim that their rights were broken during the protests in Ferguson. A son and a mother were arrested while ordering in a McDonalds and another...
