Gail Taliaferro, MBA

Biography

Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Gail graduated from Trenton Central High School June 1981. She is an Investigator for the State of New Jersey Department of the Treasury. In 1998 Gail identified the limited social, economic and educational expectation of children in the inner city, which started her volunteerism in the SMILE/ GEAR-UP College Bound program within the Mercer County Community College in Trenton, NJ. There she advocated for the advancement for education in the school system by encouraging parents to advance their parental roles, rights and responsibilities. Since 1998 Gail has gained her life coaching experience by teaching parents and youth the importance of Parental Roles, Rights & Responsibilities, Higher Education and Achieving Academic Endeavors. Gail has also conducted one on one session and workshops on Critical Thinking and Goal Setting. Though years of dedication to the program, Gail has been recognized and has received various awards for her accomplishments as a Parent Liaison within Mercer County Community College’s SMILE / GEAR-UP organization where she has organized various workshops and seminars addressing the social, economic and family stresses that affect our society today. Some of the workshops include Anger Management, Financial Aid for College, Debt Consolidation, Planning for Financial Future, Sex Education for Parents and much more. In 2005 Gail received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and achieved the privilege of obtaining her Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2006. Gail also gained her teaching experience at Mercer County Community College where she utilized her License Practical Nursing knowledge to teach Science specifically Anatomy and Physiology to college bound students. Since 2006 Gail has increased her spiritual enlightenment at the True Servant Worship and Praise Church in Hamilton, NJ. There, she assisted in the revival and developed the E. E. Jenkins Ministries Servant Endeavoring to Empower and Develop (SEED) Male Mentoring Program. Within this organization Gail is responsible for developing, strategizing and organizing the program. In December 2013 Gail published her first book “The Tally Family Nia Learns a Lesson”. Gail is also a world traveler. She is the owner of Essence of Talia where she provides memberships to people who want to change their lifestyle and experience more fun, freedom andfulfillment in their lives. In 2014 Gail became the co-host on IWEU Media Radio on Hamiltonradio.net and the co-host of the cable show “The Place to SOAR”. Gail is the proud parent of one son, Ronald.
