Joined 3 years ago from New York
I am a wine professional, blogger and freelance writer currently living in the NYC area, where I was born and raised. In my 20s I up and moved to Rome, Italy on my own, earning a degree in Art History, while working, immersing myself in the culture, and making lifelong friends from all over the world. It was one of the best experiences of my life!
I have had careers in many areas - publishing, travel, academia - but it was the one in trade shows/events that lasted the longest. For 20 years, I worked for various corporations as an Operations/Senior Event Manager, first producing large trade shows and then smaller conferences. After a life changing experience, I realized it was time to finally pursue my primary passion - wine. I have taken several wine classes and have been working in the industry for the past 2 years.
Journaling since my early teens, I have always enjoyed writing and have been blogging on and off since 2009. It was after my mom said to me, one too many times, “You missed your calling!”, that I finally decided to seriously pursue my secondary passion -writing. My topics are pretty eclectic - wine, travel, family, single life, social issues and self-help.
