I grew up in a mountainous Province in the Cordillera located at Northern Luzon in the Philippines. We live a simple yet Rich in all resources such us greens, fruits and other root crops enough for the whole year of living. Somehow, we have adopted some ways of life of the early Chinese; from plantations to traditions and the way we bury our dead forefathers. Unlike in the city, we do not buy goods since we are already contented of what we have and we do not mind how much we can earn since we already have what we need for a living But in this modern world, we also get to know (FYI to those who think we are ignorant) how we could make our lives easier. "adaptation" is our key to move forward and go with how we could manage our lives. Most of our families also decided to move and migrate the other countries and work there, even be the boss of their own there. So here we are helping each other to survive, because a family is still a family, no matter where you are and what you become, what is important is who you are as a person.
