Wife and mother of 3 girls. Raised in a glorious rural setting in Western New York with the freedom to run and explore the open fields, ponds, woods, and nearby creeks. Raised by a mother who may actually have been a modern Yogi, I learned to be calm in the face of external stressors and to be self searching. Extended family also lived next door, which allowed for strong female leadership to drip daily and serve as a powerful example while the men were off working, hunting, playing, and doing their own thing.
While having a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling, I currently works as the owner/operator of a manufacturing facility. I'm a girl scout leader, Sunday school teacher, and try to keep my energy level up to maintain this lifestyle with a healthy diet and regular exercise. My husband is a retired NYS Trooper and currently works as the Director of Safety and Security at a private college. The children range in ages from 6 to 15 and each are active in mulitple sports and 4H. Like most parents, we are spread way too thin!
I enjoy delving into the psyche of people, observing human behavior, travel and exploring local foods and culture. I'm most at peace visiting the property where I was raised, sipping a glass of wine and staring at the open fields while listening to the chickens cluck, and seeing the children walk down the long winding path toward the pond to fish. That to me is Nirvana!

Describing the feeling after losing a mother is elusive. You can empathize with others who have lost a mother but you cannot comprehend the depth of feeling until you experienced it firsthand. Grief is not a physical injury to recover from.
