I am originally from NYC but have lived in Jacksonville, FL, for almost ten years. I have a son who in middle school.
I joined the Navy from NYC in 2002. I deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and 2005, while stationed in San Diego, CA. I then switched to the Army in 2006 and got stationed in Ft Lewis, WA. After the Army, I worked as a civilian contractor in Afghanistan for a year. Returning to the U.S., I worked as a Technical Support Specialist for the Automotive Broadcasting Network, supported a nation-wide advertising network for auto dealerships with broadcasting from CBS and Infocaster-a media server provided by Harris Inc.
I went back to civilian DOD contracting for the Navy, working for Hewlett Packard under the Continuity of Services Contract (CoSC) for NMCI - Navy-Marine Corps Intranet. Making the switch to the financial services sector, I worked at Sungard Financial Systems, now FIS. My next gig was at Black Knight Financial Services for three years after leaving there, I worked at Florida Blue for two and a half years, providing application support.
I certified as a GRCP – Governance, Risk and Compliance Professional from OCEG, the Open Compliance, and Ethics Group.
