My name is Brooke. I recently moved to New York City to begin the life of a freelancer, and to 'restart' the life of being a poor student. I'm working to wedge a foot through the door in writing, and and currently getting an MA in teaching to students of second language at NYU, so I'm actually stepping inside of several doors . . .
I am originally from Michigan, and received my undergraduate in creative writing at Madonna University. I'm a tea connoiseur and lover of paper and words, cafes, and cats (especially black, but I try not to be biased). I've met some lovely people in New York City, and it's diversity continues to amaze me in the colorful population that I see and meet every day. I spent a few months teaching and working in China, before I came here, and am actually a bit of a travel diva. I can honestly say that my favorite place in the world so far, though- next to London- is New York City.
I hope to continue to stay, live and work here for a very long time, assuming that I don't end up on the streets. I'm trying to get my work out to the public, so hopefully there is a less likely chance that will happen!
