Okay - the photo isn't really me - it's a cosmic pineapple that turned into a completely normal and delicious pineapple. I had no idea pineapples were that colour when young. But then I'm finding out an awful lot about things that grow as from being a full time teacher I've suddenly become a farmer, which is far more peaceful if a little scary finance-wise. I live on a 'manzana' of land in a little village in El Salvador. (Manzana is Spanish for apple, and, oddly enough for an area of ground equal to 1.7 acres.) I have 3 dogs, a couple of cats, nine ducks and six pet chickens. (There are also the 'for profit' dinner-chicks, but I don't want to talk about them.) I also have 5 horses but they're away living in the mountains. They're happy but I miss them! So that's me
