If your referral tracker is for example "asdf1234" then the url with your tracker looks like

      http:/ /hubpages.com/_asdf1234/whatevercategory/title-of-article

We no longer earn money for referring articles anyways. I just read a question about it.

I think samiagamie means the Referral Program where you can refer new users to HubPages and get 10% of their earnings in perpetuity. Referral Traffic is the only thing we have discontinued. Not the Author Referral Program. smile

OK.  This answers my question about Bellatora and "Link to this Page".  So all of my links that I shared of other HUBs which included my referral trackers that referred visitors to "come and see" are now useless and won't earn me any income.  Is my understanding correct? Yes?

Yes, with your referral tracker you can only earn from referring new authors who sign up and write Hubs

Went to the Learning Center.  So I was using the Referral Program right all along.  I was using the referral trackers OFF of HUBPages for sending visitors to the HUBs.  Does that 3rd paragraph in the tutorial need to be updated?  It says "... you can receive a percentage of the total impressions just by sending visitors to Hubs - no Hubbing necessary."  Meaning?  If a person just wants to read the HUB and they came via a HUB you directed them to, that's OK!  Yes?

I have just updated this entry to remove references of the traffic referral program. The rest should be up to date. smile

I used the referral tracker as stated also made a new referral tracker. when I tried to test the tracker, my hub page popped up which would allow a new user control of my hub page. the tracker did not redirect to the hub sign up page
