The tall apes have provided us many small tubes of food. Food is joy. Nom nom nom.
Hey, I cannot stick my mouth into this tube. The food is down there. The ape's food machine defies me.
Ha, I am not falling for that. I must verify that no apes are around. No. I now reach in and grab a paw-full of food. Nom nom nom.

A Human's Perspective:
I was a little dubious when Liz bought this Aikiou Stimulo Activity Food Center. It's just a series of tubes that you put food into. The cats are supposed to eat with their mouths until they can no longer reach the food. Then they have to figure out how to get the rest of the food out of the tube. It's supposed to stimulate their kitty brains or something.
Our cats are pretty smart already. For years we've walked in on Minkus eating from his paws. The Foot has opposable thumbs. The rest of the gang are quite capable of imitating these two.
Since it spreads the food into several different little containers, it's lowered strife amongst the cats. They can get their nom on without getting mad at everyone else. We do have to refill it rather often, but that's not a big deal.
Our two cats that eat out of their paws declined to come and have their picture taken, alas. You have to look at cats eating the normal way. Since I filled this thing earlier (and I always spill food everywhere), they have no reason to reach in. Hopefully I can nab a few pictures of them digging for food to add a bit later.
Dislikes
It came with two different level tubes. The box tells you that you can buy deeper tubes to make the activity more stimulating. I find it rather annoying to get what ought to be a complete product to learn that I have to send off for more parts. Nope, not going to play ball with you.
The box claims that it will make your cat more agile. Our cats are already pretty agile, thank you very much. If they get much more agile, they'll be walking across the ceiling spider-pig style in a few days. I'm really not looking forward to that.
