Backstreet Snake

Backstreet Snake

Backstreet SNAKE

I Rode to deli
With my empty belly,
In the ill-lighted backstreet
For a chunk of meat.

Overside, my bike I halt
That was neither my fault.
Outside the store was huge rush
A second later it tips to hush.
They shouted 'hey, JEEZ!'
And over there I stood freeze.

I tripped on the cobblestones
As they waved flash in phones,
On the concrete they gesticulate
I noticed something that undulate,
Before seeing the serpentine
I wish I was high on wine.

Over my foot it cropped
In a delicate waviness it slipped,
With a couple of kink
In the chink.
