Can Dogs Get the CoronaVirus?
Coronavirus, dogs
Are our pets at risk to catch the coronavirus from their owners or visa-versa?There is no present evidence that would make us believe that as of 4/3/2020. Better be safe about it though. Practice good hygiene around your pets just as you would other people.
Wash your hands after touching ,brushing ,feeding, and loving on your pets. Dogs do carry certain types of coronaviruses such as canine respiratory coronavirus , CECoV , CRCoV , but are not transmitted to humans.
All dogs and animals carry germs that can make people sick. Though so far only Zoonotic can be passed from dogs to humans. Studies are underway and will be shared for everyone to read as soon as it happens. There is no evidence that dogs are a source of where the infection "coronavirus" came from.
I would rather be safe than sorry myself. There is still so much misunderstood about the coronavirus and people keep giving the wrong advice about what to do,that I will make sure to protect both myself and pet the best I can. Dogs are apart of your family and they depend on you to protect them.
Practice good hygiene with your pets..
