Cutest Mini Baby Animals Ever…This List Will Make You Smile

Updated on December 30, 2013

It is very difficult not to look at photos of baby animals and fall completely in love. Kind of like how we fall in love with Vitamin A swimwear every year they release their latest line. Miniature animals are always the most heartwarming, and we wanted to compile a list of the cutest baby animals to help you make it through your work week. Trust us, it'll help jump start your Monday.

If I know anything about life, I know baby kitties are absolutely adorable and cannot go unnoticed. But how do you measure cuteness? Maybe…by showing their best Puss n Boots face with those big ol' eyes we always love. Well played, baby kitty, well played.

Sometimes bats are seen as scary, but who could ever turn away this baby bat, who had the misfortune of falling out of his mother’s nest? Here he is, peacefully sleeping while clutching on to the finger of a human like a tree branch. They may look terrifying, but baby bats need comfort just like the rest of us.

To me, sleep is the opposite of stress. When you see a baby sleeping, you know that that tiny being is oblivious to the hardships of life. Maybe that is what I love about this picture. Bunnies are probably the cutest of animals. But a baby bunny sleeping in the palm of your hand? Cuteness overload alert.

How would someone end up with a baby lion in captivity? This is a question that I don’t care about the answer to, because if the lion is small enough to fit in your hand, then it has a high cuteness quotient, and nothing else really matters. Look at that face, though. This guy might be trouble later on down the road, but why not play with a baby lion before they become the kings and queens of the jungle?

A baby turtle!! I’ve had a turtle as a pet before, but it was much bigger (and much less cute). Never have I seen a turtle that fits on a single finger. It’s like the turtle I had, but with everything TINY (and therefore better). I can imagine this little things crawling around the floor taking almost two hours to move a foot or so.

I don’t know a whole lot about giraffes, although I wish I had extensive knowledge after seeing this picture. I do, however, know that the tiny face and the big ears on this guy make for a delightful combination. This picture was taken at the zoo, which is a shame, because I would house this little one any day. Those eyes!

Question: What is cuter than one baby animal? The answer is: two baby animals spooning each other! Bonus points if your answer was, two baby animals SNUGGLING. That is what these two little squirrels are doing here in this picture. The only suspicious thing here is, I have never actually seen squirrels this cute. But I can overlook that for the sake of adorableness.

Did you know? Pygmy marmosets are also known as “finger monkeys,” and this picture illustrates exactly why. I propose they also be known as “cutest monkeys in the world.” Let’s face it, a lot of monkeys are not that cute. But these guys take the cake.

Puppies really should have topped our list, but we wanted to make way for the other animals out there that don't get as much recognition for their cute factor. Puppies always make our hearts melt and this photo is a perfect example why. Those fluffy faces and big eyes, we just can't get enough.

So, this is truly, officially my favorite picture of a baby animal of all time. Yes, a pig in rainboots. I’m not sure what part of this picture does it for me. The little guy is obviously a heartbreaker. And seeing him wear these very human things to protect his precious little hooves...I die. It’s all just too much.

Check out the video below to officially throw you over the edge with adorable animals.

There you have it. Any thoughts? Favorites? Any animals that should or should not have made the list?

What is your favorite baby animal?

      Precious photos of baby animals.

Imagine my surprise when I saw my Hub "Why Do People Have Pets?" as one of the related Hubs to this one!
